Three major world religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam are Abrahmic religions. They all focus on the Oneness of God. We will look at their Holy Scriptures about this basic faith.


1- Islam

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only.

Allah, Who is in need of none and of Whom all are in need.

He neither begot any nor was He begotten.

and none is comparable to Him.

(Quran 112: 1-4)

2- Christianity 

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

"The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

(Mark:12:28-29)

3- Judaism 

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall not make for yourself an idol or a likeness of anything in heaven above, or in

the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth.

You shall not bow down to them or

serve them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, recompensing the sins of the fathers

on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me;† 6but showing

mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

(Exodus 20:1-2)
